บทคัดย่อ

	การศึกษาวิจัยเชิงสำรวจครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นที่จะศึกษาการเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณของบุคลากรในสถาบันอุดมศึกษา   จังหวัดเชียงใหม่     กลุ่มประชากรที่ศึกษาเป็นบุคลากรที่มีอายุ  55-60  ปี  ในปี  พ.ศ.  2537   และทำงานในมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่  มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้  สถาบันราชภัฏเชียงใหม่  และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลวิทยาเขตภาคพายัพ   กลุ่มตัวอย่างใช้วิธีสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบง่าย  ประกอบด้วยบุคลากรจากสถาบันการศึกษาดังกล่าว   จำนวน  164  คน    เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม  วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณา
	ผลของการวิจัยพบว่า   กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษาเป็นเพศชายมากกว่าเพศหญิง  มีอายุเฉลี่ย  57  ปี   สภานภาพสมรสคู่   นับถือศาสนาพุทธ   และมิได้มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่   ในด้านการศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เป็นอาจารย์ระดับปริญญาตรี   มีรายได้จากเงินเดือนประจำซึ่งพอเป็นค่าใช้จ่ายในแต่ละเดือน
	การเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณ  กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีการเตรียมตัวดีเกือบทุกด้าน   ยกเว้นในเรื่องการรับประทานอาหาร   ภาวะสุขภาพและความเจ็บป่วย  การออกกำลังกายที่ถูกต้องและเหมาะสมและการมีอารมณ์เปลี่ยนแปลงง่าย  ซึ่งแก้ไขได้ด้วยการปรึกษาผู้ที่ไว้วางใจ  ปรึกษาแพทย์  และพึ่งศาสนา
	โดยทั่วไปกลุ่มตัวอย่างเกือบทั้งหมดเห็นด้วยกับการเตรียมตัวก่อนเกษียณ   โดยเฉพาะการเตรียมตัวด้านร่างกาย   กลุ่มตัวอย่างไม่ได้วางแผนประกอบอาชีพหลังเกษียณ   สำหรับการวางแผนศึกษาภายหลังเกษียณจะเป็นการศึกษาในสาขาการเกษตร  ทำอาหาร  และศาสนา

Abstract
	The  main  focus  of  this  survey   study  was  to  examine  the  preparation  before  retirement  of  personnels  in  higher  education  institutes  in  Chiang  Mai  Province.  The  study  sample  consisted  of  164  staffs  which  were  Chiang  Mai  University,  Maejo  University,  Rajabhat  Institute  Chiang  Mai,  and  Rajamangala  Institute  of  Technoloty  Northern  Campus.  The  age  of  the  study  group  was  between  55  and  60  years  old  in  the  year  of  1994  and  being  enrolled  in  the  study  through  simple  random  sampling.  Data  collection  was  done  by  questionaire.  Descriptive  statistics  were  used  for  data  analysis.
	The  major  finding  revealed  that  there  were  more  men  than  women  with  a  mean  age  of  57  years  in  total.  The  majority  of  the  sample  was  married,  Buddhists  and  non-Chiang  Mai  residents.  Most  subjects  were  academic  staffs,  holding  Bachelor   Degrees  and  having  adequate  financial  support  from  their  salaries.
	Regarding  the  preparation  for  retirement,  most  aspects  were  prepared  with  the  exception  of  nutrition,  health  and  illness,  suitable  exercise  and  changeable   of  capricious  emotions  which  can  be  rehabitated    by  counselling  reliable  experts,  meeting  physicians  and  counting  on    religion.
	The  study  sample  generally  agreed  with  retirement  preparation  especially  physical  preparation.  The  study  sample  didn't  plan  for  any  professions  after  the  retirement  but  the  study  program  planning  includes  the  fields  of  agriculture,  cooking  and  religions  activities.
