Background: Clinical nursing faculties are crucial in cultivating nursing students, influencing their
learning outcomes and future nursing abilities. Clinical faculties ‘ work-related strain and burnout
merit attention, as these factors enhance teachers’ job efficiency and well-being.

Objective: This study explores the relationship between personal and organizational factors, role
stress, and burnout tendencies among clinical nursing faculty, thereby providing relevant information
to improve working conditions and offer employee assistance programs.

Methods: A cross-sectional study collected 43 valid questionnaires from female participants. The
questionnaire was self-developed through a literature review. It includes personal and organizational
factors, the Role Strain Scale, and The Taiwan Ministry of Labor Overwork Scale. The survey
encompassed role strain and burnout tendencies.

Results: Forty-three valid questionnaires were collected from female participants aged 25 to 55,
predominantly holding master’s degrees. Clinical nursing faculty feel moderate role strain at
work (M=3.02), particularly severe in role coping, adjustment, and workload. Over 60% of teachers
experienced moderate to severe levels of burnout, with nearly 20% reporting severe burnout, which
was significantly associated with educational level. Role stress accounted for 52.3% of the variance in
           burnout tendencies.

Conclusion: The study suggests that clinical nursing faculty face a certain level of role strain in their
work, which impacts their tendency towards burnout. Therefore, providing appropriate support and
                                                                                                                      Poster Presentation Abstracts
resources is imperative to improve their working conditions and enhance their job efficiency and
           well-being.
